Dharma Mentoring & Meditation Guidance
Dharma mentoring offers guidance for meditation and living a life informed by Buddhist wisdom, ethics, and compassion. Whether you want clearer practice instructions or support bringing Buddhism into everyday life, we can explore how the teachings relate to your work, leisure, relationships, and daily choices.
What We Can Explore
Beginning or renewing a sustainable meditation practice.
Working with distraction, effort, discouragement, and self-judgment.
Developing steadiness of attention alongside compassion and inquiry.
Understanding Buddhist teachings through your own experience.
Integrating Buddhist teachings into work, leisure, relationships, and daily decisions.
Exploring cultural identity and your relationship with Buddhist traditions.
What A Session Is Like
Sessions may include conversation, guided meditation, and reflection on practice between meetings. We discuss what you are experiencing and choose instructions or practices that fit your current needs. You are welcome whether you are new to meditation or have an established practice.
We can adapt posture, practice length, and the object of attention. Sitting still with closed eyes is one option among many; movement and eyes-open practice can also be part of our work.
My Teaching Background
I am an authorized Dharma teacher in the Pragmatic Dharma lineage, authorized by Vince Horn and Emily Horn, and have studied with Kenneth Folk. My teaching draws on an extensive background in Insight meditation and Chan/Zen practice and study, including more than 15 years of meditation and retreat experience.
I am also certified through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. I value clear instructions, honest inquiry, and a compassionate relationship with practice.
